Description:
Some birth records just can't be broken.
A world premiere by John Kaufmann.
In 1970, a six year-old girl makes a cassette tape on the day her brother is born. Thirty-five years later, that brother visits her and records the birth of her first child. Created from these original recordings, D.O.B. uses verbatim texts, jumps in time, and an ensemble of seven actors to take the audience on a whirl-wind ride through the joy, agony, and absurdity of a first birthday. Conceived and directed by John Kaufmann (Starball, Line One, The Perception Project) D.O.B. is a chronicle of a family over time brought together through the chaos of birth.
