Description:
It's Seattle, 1946, and the sailors have hit town. An awful lot of them seem to be headed to The Garden of Allah, where they pass dollar bills through a peephole to see vaudeville, variety and burlesque hosted by a cast of male and female impersonators. A bygone evening of song, sketch, striptease, smoke, and police payoffs. Based on the book "An Evening at the Garden of Allah: A Gay Cabaret in Seattle" by Don Paulson.
